SEA offers four programs for 3rd-5th grades:

  1. Parent-teacher Led using online curriculum.
  2. Parent-teacher Led using a combination of online and booklet subjects.
  3. Distinctive Service using online curriculum with SEA teachers scoring student work.
  4. Elite Service using online curriculum with academic concept help and scoring from SEA teachers.

SEA’s unique structure can reduce parent involvement to the level that works best for the family. SEA’s program choices and tuition payment plans can fit almost any budget. Tuition for all 3rd-5th grade programs includes curriculum; initial placement testing in the curriculum; course counselor; technical support; school communications; record keeping & reporting; semester report cards; user guides for curriculum; annual achievement testing that is required in some states; plus many other benefits.

Four Options for 6th-8th: Read the next four sections about Southeast Academy’s four different programs. Compare to best fit your budget and involvement. SEA’s unique structure can reduce parent involvement to the level that works best for the family. Parents can choose between our Parent-teacher Led Online, Parent-teacher Led Combo, Distinctive Service program, or Elite Service program.

The Parent-teacher Led Online program uses an award-winning internet-based structure for 3rd-5th grades with thousands of multimedia features, including digital tutors. The accredited program presents a Christian worldview. Students can complete their schoolwork from anywhere using typical broadband internet access. The Parent-teacher Led Online program allows for the convenience and benefits of the online learning system without the added cost of teacher grading or teacher support. A large portion of student work is automatically computer scored, which saves parents time and promptly corrects student thinking while the concept is fresh in the mind. Parents and student can view grades online anytime, which enhances student motivation. New concepts and skills are also integrated across other subjects for reinforcement. This program is called “Parent-teacher Led” because the parent will be more involved throughout the day than our Distinctive and Elite programs below mainly due to the parent being responsible for subjective scoring and tutoring when necessary. Subjective scoring is where human scoring is required for areas our automatic scoring cannot cover, such as essay answers. Parent-teachers will be required to complete an academic report form on a quarterly basis to be submitted to the academy by the quarter end dates as listed on the school calendar. This is SEA’s lowest cost program for 3rd-5th grades at $125 per month or $110 per month if paying annually. That is about $6 per school day for an accredited private school enrollment. The Parent-teacher Led program includes initial placement testing in the curriculum; 5 subjects curriculum of Math, Language Arts, History/Geography, Science, and Bible; course counselor; technical support; school communications; record keeping & reporting; semester report cards; online curriculum user guide and training videos; and annual achievement testing is included that is required in some states.

The Parent-teacher Led Combo program uses a combination of online and booklet subjects. Math, Language, and Science subjects use an online format, while History/Geography and Bible subjects use a booklet format. The accredited combo format helps transition students from an entirely paper-based curriculum to the benefits of online curriculum by using a combination of formats during the year. Many students will then use an entirely online format the following year. The student will also have more handwriting experience during the year with the combo program than switching entirely to an online curriculum. The combination of formats will offer students some non-computer time for a portion of each day where a computer and/or internet is not required.  The combo program uses the same award-winning internet-based structure for the online subjects. Each of the two booklet subjects are made up of approximately 10 colorful booklets that are mailed out to the parent throughout the year. The booklet curriculum also presents a Christian worldview. Parents have a little more involvement than the Parent-teacher Led Online program because the two booklet subjects do not have automatic computerized scoring for daily work, quizzes, and a test prep assignment called a self-test. Booklets have a unit test where the completed test is sent to SEA for scoring and record keeping. There is also a little more information to add on the quarterly report form. There is a short delay in viewing booklet grades online due to the mailing of unit tests by the parent. The combo program is called “Parent-teacher Led” because the parent will be more involved throughout the day than our Distinctive and Elite programs below mainly due to the parent being responsible for subjective scoring and tutoring when necessary. This is also SEA’s lowest cost program for 3rd-5th grades at $125 per month or $110 per month if paying annually. That is about $6 per school day for an accredited private school enrollment. The Parent-teacher Led program includes curriculum; initial placement testing in the curriculum; course counselor; technical support; school communications; record keeping & reporting; semester report cards; user guides for both curriculum formats; and annual achievement testing is included that is required in some states.

The Distinctive Service program uses an award-winning internet-based structure for 3rd-5th grades with thousands of multimedia features, including digital tutors. The unique feature of our Distinctive Service program is that SEA takes care of subjective scoring. SEA teacher scoring provides human scoring for areas our automatic scoring cannot cover, such as essay answers. This structure frees up parents to focus on encouragement, incentives, and occasional tutoring when needed. Compared to our Parent-teacher Led Online program, the Distinctive Service program only costs a little more than $1.50 per day extra to have SEA do the scoring of student work. That normally works out to be an amazing value to parents. The accredited program presents a Christian worldview. Students can complete their schoolwork from anywhere using typical broadband internet access. Parents and student can view grades online anytime, which enhances student motivation. New concepts and skills are also integrated across other subjects for reinforcement. If the parent is busy, Distinctive Service users can purchase optional tutoring sessions from SEA if needed. The Distinctive Service program is $140 per month or $126 per month if paying annually. That is about $7 per school day for an accredited private school enrollment with SEA teachers scoring student work! The Distinctive Service program includes curriculum; initial placement testing in the curriculum; course counselor; technical support; school communications; SEA teacher scoring; record keeping & reporting; semester report cards; online curriculum user guide and training videos; and annual achievement testing is included that is required in some states.

The Elite Service program has all the benefits of the Distinctive Service program, plus offers academic concept help via the built-in message center and email. This is an essential program to free up more parent time! It also protects relationships in the home. The Elite Service program is the best financial value, because students have access to academic help for only $35 per month more than the Distinctive Service program. Having outside academic help available will free up the parent to focus more on encouragement while protecting relationships. The Elite Service program is $170 per month or $157.50 per month if paying annually. That is about $9 per school day for an accredited private school enrollment with SEA teachers assisting with academic help and scoring student work! The Elite Service program includes curriculum; initial placement testing in the curriculum; course counselor; technical support; school communications; SEA teacher scoring; academic concept help via the built-in message center and email; record keeping & reporting; semester report cards; online curriculum user guide and training videos; and annual achievement testing is included that is required in some states.

About All Our Programs: Students learn at different rates of speed depending on the subject or concept. Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace, giving them the chance to master concepts at their ability before moving on to more challenging lessons. This allows students more time when needed, but also allows them to move quickly when they have mastered a concept.

Semester, quarterly, and monthly payment options are a provided convenience for the parents’ commitment of two semesters.

10 Month Traditional School Year OR 12 Month Year Round Structure?

Southeast Academy offers two enrollment options! Our elementary homeschooling offers a 10 month structure or a 12 month structure. Traditional: The 10 month structure is called “Traditional” and follows a typical 180 day school year completed in less than 10 months. If a student does not finish by the end of the 10 month Traditional year, there is a $275 summer school fee. If the monthly tuition payment option is chosen for Traditional, the payments are for 10 months. Year Round: The 12 month structure is called “Year Round” and allows the student to complete work over a 12 month period. If the monthly tuition payment option is chosen for Year Round, the payments are for 12 months. The Year Round option offers more flexibility on when breaks or vacations are taken. The Year Round option can help a parent that is working part-time that needs a shorter school week. The same amount of school work as Traditional is required with Year Round. You will be asked if Traditional or Year Round on the registration form.

Elementary School (3rd-5th) Tuition Information 2020-2021:

Register today to save a spot for 2020-2021! Our Accredited Elementary School offers four different programs. There is a family registration fee of $125 due at registration and the first tuition payment (below) is required before student work begins. The family registration fee can be paid online when completing the New Student Registration form or can be called in after you complete the registration form. The registration fee is non-refundable since many administration tasks are involved at registration. One registration fee per family if students enroll at the same time. The 12 Month Year Round option is slightly higher to cover teachers year round. There is some savings if you choose a tuition payment plan with less payments. We do not offer a monthly payment option for the combo program, because it is best to ship booklet curriculum by the quarter.
